Come and taste Pol Roger Vintage 1999

1999 was an excellent vintage and this is a wonderful Champagne on its own or with food. We sell this Champagne by the glass 165 SEK or 995 SEK per bottle.
 
Pol Roger Champagne is generally medium-bodied with a nice balance of fruity and perfect dousage. The mousse is exemplay, with smaller bubbles than usual because of cold temperatures, which is half a degree below average. Pol Roger's style is characterized by a developed, clean fruitiness and acidity, which gives the great freshness to the Champagne. In the older, more mature Champagnes, you will experience the fragrance of more dried fruit, nougat and ripe, red apples.
 
Pol Roger Champagne is known as Winston Churchill’s favourite bubble. When he tasted the vintage 1947, he was so charmed that he immediately bought enough to last throughout his lifetime. When he passed away, he was honoured with a black mourning band on the label and subsequently created a special cuvee in his honour, Cuvée Winston Churchill. This should always have a wines in the blend which come from vines that grew during his lifetime.
