Dear Members of Villa Pauli

Even though this fantastic summer is beginning to come to an end, there is something positive about almost everything, especially for hunting enthusiasts. Most certainly, all members with such an interest know that bear hunting started last week-end and that August 16 was the start date for buck hunting. You are also most likely aware of how many points it takes to achieve bronze, silver
and gold for deer trophies. I was not quite sure myself, but recently learned the following facts: 105 points for bronze, 115 for silver and 130 for gold. Did you also know that the agent which is used to colour the skull white when preparing the trophy is hydrogen peroxide.

Finally, it is soon time again for the next hunting dinner. Put a star in your calendar for Wednesday, October 6, which is when that longed-for dinner will be held. Another guest speaker will join us
this time. Mr Melin is a dedicated and passionate hunter with experience from far and near. Mr Melin is also a shooting instructor and he will give advice and share some of his experiences with us.
