Villa Pauli – History
Few private homes, even if they are built according to the owners’ wishes, really ‘take off’ like this home, every room sumptuous – and yet seem not like a sanatorium, but a home. A home of large size admittedly, but still intimate … This is how Villa Pauli is described in the 1919 edition of Svenska Hem. For the design, Anna and Albert Pauli commissioned Ragnar Östberg, whose other works included Stockholm City Hall. The brief was that the house should be designed to accommodate the large family (they had five children), hospitality events and parties. Anna and Albert regularly held large parties and other social events at Villa Pauli in the beginning of the 20th century.
Unique banqueting suite
When social events are arranged at Villa Pauli, all the rooms on the ground floor can be used. The entire banqueting suite accommodates 160 seated guests. The large room accommodates approximately 100 guests for a seated dinner. If the number of guests exceeds 100, the Library and the Gentlemen’s Room, or a tent in the garden, may also be used. For informal events, we can accommodate an even larger number of guests. The hall is ideal for aperitifs and for dancing after dinner. In the summer months, the terrace can also be used. Menu
In our excellent kitchen, food is prepared with care and passion. We compose meals using ingredients of the absolute highest quality and in a manner best suited to the occasion. Ingredients that are carefully selected from locally and organically grown produce from the country’s best micro-producers are the key to a fantastic gourmet experience.
Our party menu offers a gastronomic tour around Sweden. If you want to compose something out of the ordinary, special menus can be produced in consultation with our executive chef. Various types of canapé are offered as a complement to the party menu, and late-night snacks are composed according to your wishes.
Recommended champagne and wines
Villa Pauli has a long tradition of serving wines and champagnes that enhance the gastronomic experience. Our wine cellar undergoes constant change. The collection contains classic chateau wines alongside modern estate-bottled wines, and includes wines from the world’s most popular producers. Our sommelier will help you carefully select the drinks that both enhance your experience of the food and that are best suited for the occasion.
Visual design
We are happy to help with ideas and suggestions for creating an attractive backdrop for the party. Our contacts include suppliers of flowers, music, wedding cakes, decorations, entertainment, tents and transport.
Special prices for hotel rooms
For wedding couples and guests who wish to prolong the special occasion, we offer very attractive prices for our hotel rooms in conjunction with wedding bookings.
Booking terms and conditions
When a booking is confirmed, we charge a booking fee of SEK 5.000, which is then deducted from the final invoice sent after the event. If the booking is subsequently cancelled, the booking fee is not refunded. We invoice approximately 50% of the preliminary total amount for the event as an advance payment no later than 4 months before the date of the event. When booking, we reserve the right to carry out a routine credit assessment, but this does not apply to Villa Pauli members.
